Stephen Kenny insists he is feeling ‘absolutely fine’ after his recent health scare and is relishing Ireland’s upcoming games.
The Under-21 boss took ill in Sweden after the rceent qualifying win and was hospitalised.
But he was back to work last week and said at his squad announcement today: “I’m feeling very well.
“I had a stay in Sweden and there’s probably not a beter health system than in Sweden, so it’s not the worst place to not be well in.”
Kenny said he would prefer not to reveal what exactly happened, but said: “I’m absolutely fine now. I was in England last week and again last night to watch a game.”
Ireland will look to maintain their impressive start to the Euro 2021 qualifying campaign with upcoming games at home to Italy and away to Iceland.
