Stephen Kenny is determined to end Ireland’s miserable run of results and form winning a habit.
The Boys in Green face minnows Andorra in a low-key friendly clash at the Estadi Nacional high in the Pyrenees mountains.
And Kenny is desperate to finally snatch his first win as senior boss at the 12th time of asking.
But the costly March defeat at home to Luxembourg continues to cast a dark shadow over the squad.
Asked if he feels under pressure to deliver this evening, Kenny said: “Listen, it’s a match that I want to win and we expect to win.
“It's been well-documented that we haven't been and we're waiting to win.”
Kenny continued: “There are several games that we should have won and didn't. We're disappointed with that.
“We want to go back to winning ways and make a habit of winning. That’s important.”
Newcomer Sam Szmodics has joined skipper Seamus Coleman on the injured list and Chiedozie Ogbene is a doubt.
Kenny - whose team play Hungary in Budapest on Tuesday - said: “There will be a balance between youth and experience.
“Andorra had a famous win in 2018 when they beat Hungary in a World Cup qualifier. It shows you how well Hungary have done since then because they're going to the Euros.
“You never take anything for granted. Nobody gives you anything and you have to earn the right to win.
"Andorra are set up so that they don't concede too many chances, but our expectation is that we'll win with a good performance.”
