Stephen Glass urges Aberdeen caution as he insists Dons aren't out of the woods despite St Mirren thumping

Stephen Glass insists he’s pulling back the reins on all talk of an Aberdeen revival despite racking up two wins on the bounce.

The Dons made it back-to-back victories for the first time since the opening two league games with a defeat of St Mirren last weekend and they go for three-in-a-row at St Johnstone tomorrow.

But after a change in fortunes from dismal previous form which failed to bring a win in 10 games, Glass is keen to keep all talk of a corner being turned in check after climbing into sixth spot by beating the Buddies.

He said: “Any team who wins two or three games, they jump up the league pretty quick – that’s the nature of the Premiership this year.

“There’s teams losing and drawing regularly so if you get three points you find yourself climbing the table. If we can keep doing that we’ll be happy but we know the challenge.

“I feel we’ve given ourselves a better position to work from. I don’t want to talk about turning corners, recently we’ve had a couple of good results and a consistent performance.

“We want to keep winning games and climbing the league – that’s the be-all and end-all. We know there’s a break coming up after Ross County and we want to win as many as we can before.

“It’ll be difficult but it’ll be good to try and keep the momentum rolling.”
