Stephen Glass slams Rangers decisions and claims John Beaton got TWO calls wrong at Ibrox

Seething Stephen Glass insists Aberdeen were the victims of TWO dodgy John Beaton refereeing decisions that cost his side a vital win at Ibrox.

The Dons raced into a two-goal lead inside quarter of an hour against champions Rangers but were forced to settle for a point as the Light Blues fought back.

However, Glass was raging after claiming Steven Gerrard’s men scored from a free-kick and penalty that shouldn’t have been.

The spot kick sickener came with just 10 minutes left as former Rangers defender David Bates was penalised for a foul on substitute Fashion Sakala.

James Tavernier stepped up to salvage a point and Glass said: “We've been undone by a free kick that doesn't look like a free kick and a penalty that doesn't look like a penalty kick to me.

"It's a little bit of a coming together but it's not a penalty kick.

"I'm happy but we could have walked away with more. We were brilliantly defensively and carried a threat.

"If you'd have given me a point at the start of the day I'd have been delighted but I'm disappointed at the way it's ended.

"They're a really good team with really good players especially at the top end of the pitch.

Christian Ramirez and Scot Brown scored to put the Dons ahead but Alfredo Morelos pulled one back before the break from Tavernier’s free kick.

Glass’ complaint comes after Hearts boss Robbie Neilson hit out at decisions going against opposition sides at Ibrox and Parkhead.

He was sent to the stand recently after calling for Juninho Bacuna to be sent off for grabbing Stephen Kingsley.

Neilson said: “Generally, when you go to Ibrox or Parkhead something like that’s going to happen.”
