Stephen Glass is bracing himself for big-money bids over superkid Calvin Ramsay in January.
Half of the English Premier League are scouting the teenage right-back who has been one of Aberdeen’s top stars this season.
Tottenham, Leicester City, Leeds United, Southampton, Everton and Manchester United are just some of the clubs who are keeping a close eye on the latest Pittodrie graduate.
And Dons boss Glass is ready to field offers for the 18-year-old in the upcoming window.
He said: “Would I expect offers in January? I wouldn’t be surprised, let’s be honest about that.

“He’s in a similar position to a lot of young players in Scotland in that they’re attractive to clubs down south.
“They see it as a very affordable option up here, they get incredible value when they come to this league.
“The players they play with, the players they play against and the experiences they get - clubs think this is a very good learning environment for them.
“Players who have gone south in recent years have done very well, so that increased the likelihood of the clubs coming back again.
“I don’t get involved in valuations and all that stuff, but John McGinn went down for a decent amount and has done brilliantly.
“There is a good recent history of Scottish young players going down and doing well.
“Players are aware of that, they know they have to produce for their clubs here first.

“There are a lot of young players in Scotland who fit the bill.
“So I wouldn’t be surprised if clubs try to get Calvin sooner rather than later, but it needs to be right for him and right for us as a club.
“We will see what happens.”
Glass also knows Ramsay will take the speculation in his stride and wasn’t surprised to see him linked with Manchester United ahead of Sunday’s game with Celtic.
“What Calvin will realise as well is it’s normal for this to come up before we play one half of the Old Firm,” the Aberdeen boss claimed.
“I don’t know if it’s tactical but it tends to appear the week we play Celtic or Rangers.
“It has gone on since I played here, it’s nothing new. It’s not like there’s a transfer window coming up so I don’t see the relevance of the story.

“It didn’t come out ahead of us playing St Mirren, put it that way.”
Captain Scott Brown will face Celtic for the first time since his summer departure and Glass knows he will be 100 percent focused on getting that vital home win that would get out of a recent rut that has seen them go eight games without a win.
Glass stated: “He is going to have a lot of scrutiny this week, I am sure.
“Scott has been a player that has come out on the winning side of this fixture on numerous occasions recently.
“We are hoping that happens at the weekend in a red jersey.
“His experience will be vital.
“Since he has come in he has been the same, so he won’t do anything different.
“However it will maybe show people the determination when they see how Scott is and his demeanour in trying to win this game.

“It means nothing different to him – Scott is an Aberdeen player and he is desperate to win.
“People maybe also have in the back of his mind the feeling he still has that feeling for Celtic which I’m sure there’s something there.
“But the thing he has got, bigger than anything, is the desire to win football matches.
“And he is playing for Aberdeen at the weekend.”
Aberdeen keeper Joe Lewis came under fire for a couple of goals he lost at St Mirren and for some recent performances. Glass has let his experienced No. 1 be this week.
“I have left him at the moment,” his boss confirmed.
“You see how people react in training and during the week.
“It is important that you give people their space and choose the right time to speak to your players.
“There are a few of them I need to speak to this week.
“I don’t want to make a huge thing out of Joe as he was one out of a group of individuals that made errors last weekend.
“There is nothing special in that situation.”
