Stephen Fry praises 'one in a million' Shetland sheepdog as 'inspirational'

A Shetland sheepdog who helps with public health campaigns has won a national competition and received praise from judge Stephen Fry.

Kaylee Garrick’s pet Fenton has posed for photos in fundraising calendars and taken part in campaigns to promote CPR and explain the ins and outs of coronavirus.

The paramedic, from Scalloway, said she was “shocked, happy and proud” to see Fenton win the competition run by Cancer Research UK.

He was one of six pooches in the final after winning the “working dog” category.

Fry praised the “amazing amount of good the pair have done in the last terrible year of Covid… inspirational”.
