Stephen Curry named Western Conference Player of the Week

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the 17th time in his career Monday.

Curry has been on fire to start the season, averaging 31 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and 2.3 steals per game through three games. His opening night triple-double is one of just three recorded by any player on the young season. He has recorded at least a double-double in every game this season.

The 13th-year pro is tied with Kevin Durant, Brandon Ingram and Ja Morant for the most field-goal attempts in the league with 69. Curry is currently tied for second in the league in made 3-pointers with 14, only behind Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes.

Curry holds the Warriors record for most career Player of the Week awards, with 12 more than Tim Hardaway.
