Stephen Cluxton pictured with arm in a sling on Dublin team holiday

Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton appears to be nursing an arm injury after he was spotted with a sling on his arm in a photo with his teammates in Bali.

Five-in-a-row winning captain Cluxton rang in the new year in the exotic island as Dublin players enjoy their annual team holiday.

The 38-year-old appears to be sporting the sling for an unknown injury on his right arm as he posed for a photo alongside several teammates including Con O'Callaghan, Paul Mannion and Jonny Cooper.

The Footballer of the Year winner was also seen with the apparent injury when the Dublin team paid a visit to Beaumount hospital on Christmas Day.

Doubts remain on the veteran's Dublin future after Jim Gavin's resignation prompted corncerns that he would also hang up the boots.

But when he received the top gong late last year, he claimed that he'd decide on his future in January - before sustaining any potential injuries.

Dublin will be back in action on January 11 in the semi-final of the O'Byrne Cup, although it's expected to be an experimental line-up with most of their stars away on holiday for new boss Dessie Farrell's first game in charge.

Kerry come back to Croke Park to face the Boys in Blue in their Allianz Football League opener on January 25th as the season officially gets underway.
