Stephen Clements tribute as Q Radio to hold minute silence for former colleague

Q Radio will hold a minute silence on Tuesday afternoon in memory of their former colleague Stephen Clements.

The dad-of-two, from Carrickfergus, Co Antrim , passed away suddenly last Tuesday (January 7).

The minute silence will be held at 4.30pm.

The 47-year-old had recently started his “job of a lifetime” with BBC NI.

Clements, who also co-presented this year's BBC Children In Need appeal in Northern Ireland, joined the station last summer, having been the long-time presenter of Q Radio’s breakfast show.

Stephen leaves a huge fan base built up from his work on radio and TV plus endless charity work.

His death prompted an outpouring of tributes across Northern Ireland and beyond.

In a message on their Twitter page on Tuesday, Q Radio wrote: "In memory of our former colleague and friend, Stephen Clements one minute silence will be observed on Q Radio at 4.30pm today.

"Please feel free to join us for a moment of reflection."
