Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley has slammed the 'idiot' who sparked mayhem at the RSC last night.
The champions beat Waterford 3-1 after a come-from-behind win with Danny Mandroiu’s brace and Sean Hoare’s decisive goal cancelling out John Martin’s opener.
But the big talking point was off the field as the game had to be stopped for nine-minutes in the first-half.
A volley of fireworks launched from the away end exploded over the pitch and in the stand itself.
Waterford midfielder Anthony Wordsworth was hit by falling shrapnel and medical personnel were then required in the stand.
Referee Rob Hennessey took both sets of players off the pitch as Gardai removed at two away fans and the Hoops will now face serious sanctions.
Those two supporters have today been hit with 'indefinite' bans from Tallaght Stadium.
Bradley told Mirror Sport: “It’s not good enough. There are kids there, there are families there and obviously players and staff. It’s not acceptable.

“It’s not good enough, but I do have to stress that it’s one fan. I’m not making excuses. It’s not acceptable or good enough.
“You could see that from the rest of our fans towards that one individual. They were disgusted with it, like everyone was.
“There’s no place for it in football and everyone would say that - the rest of the fans that were there, players, staff, and everyone in the ground.
“It’s dangerous stuff. There’s no place for it anywhere, let alone a football ground. I’m not making excuses for it but one idiot caused that mayhem.”
Bradley confirmed that Rovers midfielder Dylan Watts - who assisted all three of his team’s goals - was hit by an object as the teams emerged for the second-half.
“Dylan got hit with something in the head, which is obviously not nice. But it actually woke him up a bit with the three assists,” he added.
“I thought in the second-half that he was brilliant. In my opinion, him and Danny Mandroiu have been stand out players for the year.”
In a club statement today, Rovers said: "Shamrock Rovers F.C. unequivocally condemns the actions of two ‘so called’ supporters whose actions caused disruption at last night’s league game at the RSC in Waterford.
"The two individuals were arrested by Gardai at the scene and taken from the ground. The club will cooperate fully with the Gardai on any follow-up matters and will also be issuing indefinite bans from attending Tallaght Stadium to the people concerned.
"It is regrettable that the actions of two individuals caused reputational damage to the club and was not reflective of the atmosphere and support from the large away crowd of over 350 Hoops fans who supported the team throughout, enjoying a 3-1 away win."
