Stephen Bradley wants to strengthen his title-chasing Shamrock Rovers squad in the summer.
The Hoops have opened an early eight-point lead over Bohemians but have played two games more than all of their rivals.
Close season arrivals like Jack Byrne and Aaron McEneff have made instant impacts in the side.
But Bradley believes Rovers can improve even more and said yesterday: “Hopefully the right players become available to make us stronger.
“We did that last summer when we brought in Dylan Watts and Alan Mannus and it really settled us. It helped us gain momentum in how we played.
"Then we did it in the off-season and we’ll try do it this summer. Whether we can or not I don’t know because it depends what’s available.
Jack Byrne claims he's focused on Shamrock Rovers rather than Ireland this summer
“But if the players we feel are the right players for us become available, we’ll definitely look to do it.”
Another striker could be a priority as well as defensive cover and Bradley will look in Ireland and abroad.
“The market here is very limited but if the right player becomes available, 100% they’ll be here - we’ve targets throughout,” he said.
“But we won’t be signing players just to have numbers, that won’t be the case. We sign players who will improve us and make us better.”
