Stephanie Roche shares snap with Wolfe Tones and praises band following Celtic Symphony criticism

Dancing with the Stars contestant Stephanie Roche has praised the Wolfe Tones and shared a snap pictured with the band.

The Ireland international recently tied the knot and surname is now Zambra..

And she shared a post on Instagram, praising the group, saying: "Our little country has a great history and @thewolfetone s remind us of that in their songs."

Taking to Instagram, she said: "Didn’t get around to posting this with the hype of everything that was going on over the weekend. During Saturdays dry run of the live show I was called over to see one of the producers (I thought they’d seen enough and were throwing me off the show)

"When I got over, I was greeted by one of the true legends of Irish music. I’ve never hidden my respect for this great band - a group that never get the recognition they deserve in my opinion. Listening to their songs and stories over the years makes me so pride to be Irish.

"Our little country has a great history and @thewolfetones remind us of that in their songs.

"Brian Warfield, thank you so much for coming to see me and for this lovely gift

"I can’t wait for the next gig!!"

The group found themselves at the centre of a media storm after the Ireland Women's team were filmed signing Celtic Symphony after they qualified for the World Cup.

The FAI were fined €20,000 following the incident.
