Irish footballer and RTE pundit Stephanie Roche has revealed she had to undergo an isolation period over Christmas.
The Peamount United star took to social media after receiving messages from worried friends as she opened up on her ten day bout in her room due to Covid-19.
Roche didn't confirm whether she tested positive for the bug, but did get out of isolation in time to attend a friend's wedding as she congratulated pals Claire and Ross after the couple tied the knot at Kilkea Castle.
"I’ve had a lot of messages of concern over the last few weeks because it’s been ages since I posted anything," Roche said in an Instagram post.
"Thank you to everyone for the messages. I am fine, just like half of the country it seems, I had a 10 day holiday in my room over the Christmas period!
"Not the ideal Christmas - I still haven’t seen any of my family yet! The most important thing for me though, was being out and able to get to Claire and Ross’ wedding!
"After it being postponed last year, they’ve had to deal with so much with covid and the recent new restrictions but the day was unbelievable and I’m so happy that they’ve finally tied the knot!"
