Stephanie Davis shares update on Covid-19 battle after being rushed to hospital

Stephanie Davis has revealed that she is still in a lot of pain days after she was rushed to the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

The 28-year-old actress, who had also attended a wedding just days ago, was struggling to speak as she shared a heartfelt update from her hospital bed on Saturday.

Speaking to her 980,000 Instagram followers, the mum of one thanked fans for their messages as she spoke about how she was feeling.

The former Hollyoaks beauty - who portrayed Sinead O'Connor in the Channel 4 soap - explained that she has been given lots of morphine but she said the pain in her chest was almost unbearable.

Sounding quite dazed, the television star added that she was 'alright' and would keep fans posted on her hospital stint.

She went on: " Hi everyone, just want to say, thanks for the messages. There's been loads and obviously, I've been feeling too s*** to reply," Stephanie told her fans.

She went on: "I've not been well at all. I've just had some morphine in an intravenous drip and that's really helped with the pain. I don't even know whether this is like, what... I've been getting severe pains in my esophagus in my chest. They say it's indigestion but it's not indigestion because I can't eat anything, I've not eaten anything.

" Even when I have a sip of water the pain is unreal. I don't know if it's related or what the frig is going on," Stephanie added.

The actress, who was rushed to hospital on Thursday night, admitted that she was struggling to talk because of the morphine and assumed that the pain was linked to her recent positive test.

She added: "I'm feeling very spaced out on the morphine anything so I'm going to go back to sleep, but ... the pain on my skin... I couldn't touch my skin and I can't even think straight.

"I just don't know what is going on with the pain in my chest. I'm guessing it's all linked because I've only just had this since all of this. The pain is just killing me... my chest is so bad. Just on some fluids now because I'm dehydrated. I'm alright, I'll keep yous posted," Steph concluded.

Just one day earlier, Steph appeared from a hospital bed in which she wore an oxygen mask when she explained that it felt like she had been 'run over'. She also asked her fans at the time whether anyone else had suffered from similar issues with sore skin.

Earlier this week, Stephanie had shared several snaps taken from her friend's wedding days before she tested positive.

A spokesperson for the actor also confirmed that the mum-of-one has been put on a nebuliser to help with her breathing as she is “at risk because of her underlying asthma”.

They also revealed that Stephanie had not yet been vaccinated because of her asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis.
