Stephanie Davis 'feels compassion' for man who 'stole' son's birthday presents

Stephanie Davis said she "tried to find compassion" for a man who reportedly stole her son's birthday presents from their car.

Taking to her Instagram Stories today, the ex-Hollyoaks star told her followers that she had been burgled in the middle of the night.

The mum-of-one had been shopping the day before for her son, Caben's, birthday presents which she left in the car.

When she awoke the next morning she claimed that some of the gifts had been reportedly stolen from the car.

Explaining the incident on Instagram, she said: "I had a bad morning this morning.

"I woke up this morning and Joe's boot and passenger seat were open and yesterday we went shopping to Smiffy's and everywhere else for Caben's birthday presents and someone stole some of them out of the back of the car.

"They've left some but I was just absolutely gutted this morning. I thought 'why? what is my life?'

"Someone's got a voodoo doll and they need to put it down now. The day before his birthday I woke up and his presents were gone."

But, she claims, she wasn't feeling too bad for too long as she spent some time to fully evaluate what had happened.

Steph continued: "I was gutted but then sat on it and tried to find compassion for the guy who did it because obviously to do something like that you've got to be desperate and he must be going through really bad times to have to do that.

"So, it is what is it. It's done. I've got to accept it.

"It doesn't matter how many presents [Caben] gets, it's who is around him and the people who are there.

"Actually praying that the man's alright because it must be a hard time."
