Soap star Stephanie Davis says she feels like she has been run over by a car after being struck down with Covid.
The 28-year-old actress has been rushed to A&E after testing positive for the deadly bug.
Ex-Hollyoaks beauty Stephanie filmed herself from her hospital bed wearing an oxygen mask and told fans she was in intense pain.
She struggled to speak to her fans but wanted to keep them update them on what was happening.
Steph, who is mum to three-year-old son Caben-Albie, told her near million Instagram followers that she had no other option but to call an ambulance.
She said: "Hello guys, so last night I got a bit of a headache before bed and my sinuses, I woke up and I felt so ill, I had to call an ambulance basically.
"I've tested positive for Covid. I feel like I've been ran over. The worst part is that my skin, my front and back of my skin, I can't touch my skin, it's killing me."
She went on: "I'm in so much pain, oh my God this is horrible. It happens so quick, I don't even know... I just woke up and I couldn't move.
"Obviously I've never had sore skin before so I thought this isn't a chest infection or what I would normally suffer with my chest. I feel rotten."
Another video saw the stae with her oxygen mask off, instead wearing a blue disposable face mask.
"I'm going to go back to sleep now, I'm literally in and out of sleep," she added.
"I feel like I've been ran over, my skin, I can't touch my skin.
"They've started me on some more fluids and some painkillers and an intravenous to try and help with the pain but, honestly, my God. I feel like I've been ran over."
She then asked any fans who had caught the deadly bug if they had similar issues.
She said: "Did anyone else have sore skin? I feel l can't touch my skin, and my back. My chest feels a bit better after some nebulisers but, my God."
Steph portrayed Sinead O'Connor in the Channel 4 soap until her exit two years ago.
Stephanie said earlier this year that she needed time out to "figure out this crazy thing called life" in the wake of her rehab stint.
She is yet to update her fans about her condition this morning.
