Stephane Omeonga plays Braveheart theme on the piano

Never let it be said that Hibs midfielder Stephane Omeonga doesn't know his audience.

He promised to learn club anthem Sunshine on Leith when it emerged that the midfielder was learning to play the piano.

That depended on Hibs beating Celtic in the Scottish Cup however, so fans will have to wait to hear him performing the Proclaimers number.

The on-loan Genoa man has picked a Scottish favourite with his latest tune however.

Omeonga keeps his instagram followers up to date with his progress by posting videos of himself playing.

The latest is the theme tune from Mel Gibson's 1995 epic Braveheart, in which the actor plays Scottish legendary figure William Wallace.

Omeonga is proving just as adept at tinkling ivories as he is in midfield.

He's been a big hit amongst fans since arriving in the January transfer window, and was awarded the club's Moment of the Season award for his contribution in the recent 2-1 Edinburgh derby win over Hearts at Tynecastle.

The 23-year-old has said he remains open to staying at Easter Road next season if circumstances allow.

With two years left on his contract in Italy however, it would almost certainly have to be another loan, and his recent form under Paul Heckingbottom is likely to attract other suitors.
