Struggling lunchtime Channel 4 TV show Steph’s Packed Lunch is being tipped for the axe.
Last week, we brought you news the new magazine show, filmed at Leeds Dock, recorded zero viewers at 12.56pm on Tuesday, September 22 - according to BARB ratings.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes is now offering short odds on Channel 4 pulling the programme hosted by former BBC star Steph McGovern.
They are currently offering odds of 3/1 that it will get axed.
Jessica O'Reilly, of Ladbrokes, said: "Sadly for Steph her Packed Lunch hasn't quite whet the appetites of viewers and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the show axed."
The show has endured a troubled launch with some of its difficulties being caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The TV programme was supposed to launch from Leeds Dock earlier this year but lockdown meant the presenter hosted the programme, then called The Steph Show, live from her home in Harrogate.
In April, it was announced the show would have a break until it could be relaunched in the studio. Steph’s Packed Lunch then started in September.
Channel 4 has given their backing to the programme and its presenter. A spokesperson said: "Steph has brought a blast of energy to our daytime line up and we're delighted with the live shows the team has produced."
We’ll bring you more on the future of Steph’s Packed Lunch when we get it.
