It’s official. Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu will face off in a 3-point contest. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Curry will take his shots from an NBA 3-point line while Ionescu will take her shots from a WNBA 3-point line. The contest between the two sharpshooters has been hotly anticipated and will likely be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Ionescu has since taken to X to extend the challenge of her shots also coming from the NBA line. Regardless of how the contest shakes out, two of the best shooters in basketball history facing off will be an entertaining event and could add a fresh buzz around the weekend.

This contest will be the first time a WNBA player has participated in a 3-point contest against an NBA player. The fact that it’s two of the best shooters in the world makes it even more compelling. It’s also a great way to advertise the WNBA outside of the celebrity game and skill challenge.
