Steph Curry undergoes successful second surgery on broken hand

CHICAGO _ Warriors guard Stephen Curry has successfully undergone a planned surgery on his broken left hand in Los Angeles to remove pins from the initial procedure. He will be re-evaluated in February.

The injury occurred in an Oct. 30 loss to the Suns. The surgery means he is on track for his recovery timeline. If all goes will in February, a month-long rehab process could be followed by his return to the court in March.

Curry, 31, has yet to accompany the Warriors on the road since the injury, but plans to begin traveling with the team after the New Year after rehabbing from this second procedure.

At 4-19, the Warriors have the worst record in the league this season, and are on pace to miss the playoffs for the first time in five seasons.
