Steph Curry sends love and best wishes to ‘ultimate Warrior’ Shaun Livingston

Shaun Livingston began to state publicly toward the end of the 2018-19 NBA season that he was considering retirement even before being waived by the Golden State Warriors in the offseason. The injuries had become too hard to manage, he stated. Having come back from one of the more gruesome injuries in league history, Livingston was an expert on this topic.

So, when Livingston announced his retirement today after 15 NBA seasons, it wasn’t exactly a surprise. But the news still forced teammates and fans to send an outpouring of love and well-wishes to the man whose biggest accomplishment seems to have been being a good human.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry expressed gratitude for what Livingston means to him and the franchise and added:

Ultimate WARRIOR! Love you bro and sending you best wishes for the next chapter of your life 🙏🏽 enjoy yourself @sdot1414 #sdot #strengthinnumbers

Together, Curry and Livingston made it to five consecutive NBA Finals, winning three championships.
