Steph Curry releases limited edition Under Armour signature shoe inspired by The Masters

For the eighth time, Stephen Curry is competing in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. The Golden State Warriors point guard turned golfer will compete with other sports stars like Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo and Canelo Alvarez.

In the first round of the tournament, Curry was paired alongside his father Dell and the Green Bay Packers signal-caller. Before he teed up for the first hole on Thursday, the two-time Most Valuable Player released a limited edition drop of his signature sneaker.

According to Curry, the latest Under Armour Curry 7 was inspired by the No. 13 hole at The Masters. The famous par five at Augusta National is better known as Azalea. Along with floral accents, the shoe is highlighted with a bright green and pink colorway.

Curry and Under Armour will donate 100% of the net proceeds from the shoes to Ace Kids Golf in Oakland. The organization provides transportation, golf instruction, course access, and life skill training to at-risk children in the Bay Area.

After the first round, the two-time Most Valuable Player is sitting in 14th place with a score of 15. For the second round, Curry will be paired up with Arizona Cardinals pass-catcher Larry Fitzgerald Jr, and NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.
