Steph Curry: Raptors played ‘janky’ defense, were ‘disrespectful’ on game-sealing 3-pointer

Nick Nurse and the Toronto Raptors got desperate late in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday and opted to go with a box-and-one defense in which they made sure Steph Curry couldn’t hurt them.

And it almost worked, as the Warriors scored just three points over the final five and a half minutes in the fourth quarter .

But those were a big three points that allowed the Warriors to hold on and win 109-104.

With Klay Thompson out with an injury, the Raptors put all their focus on Curry. The Warriors’ star had some things to say about that defense after the win, which was sealed by Andre Iguodala who hit a wide open 3-pointer with just over five seconds left.

Curry had this to say to ESPN’s Doris Burke:

People were stunned to see that defensive scheme:

It feels like there may now be some animosity in this series, which is always fun.
