Steph Curry on dislocated finger: ‘It’s gonna hurt, but it is what it is’

The Golden State Warriors are exactly where they want to be right now. They’re up 2-0 over the Houston Rockets, Kevin Durant is playing well, Klay Thompson is having his moments and Draymond Green looks rejuvenated on the court playing playoff basketball.

The only thing that could seemingly slow the Warriors down would be injury issues — and they keep having little scares to their top dogs. After Green wore a cast on his wrist there were questions about the severity of the injury. Now, all eyes are on Stephen Curry’s left middle finger after dislocating it in Game 2.

Curry isn’t fully comfortable with his finger, but he’s dealing with it.

What’s good for the Warriors is that the dislocated finger isn’t on his shooting hand. But Curry is one of the NBA’s best ball handlers, and a hurt finger could affect that part of his game, leading to live-ball turnovers.

Fortunately for the Warriors, the team had a huge four-day break between days for traveling and rest. Game 3 is on Saturday evening in Houston.
