Steph Curry not feeling well, late scratch vs. Charlotte Hornets

Along with his first battle with top pick LaMelo Ball, Steph Curry was slated for return to his hometown on Saturday. However, the two-time Most Valuable Player’s homecoming has been put on hold.

Moments before the opening tip against the Charlotte Hornets, Curry left the floor to the locker room with Golden State trainer Rick Celebrini. Instead of the seven-time All-Star in the lineup, Mychal Mulder received the start against the Hornets.

The Warriors later announced Curry isn’t feeling well and will miss the game against the Hornets.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry’s late scratch in Charlotte isn’t a health and safety protocol absence.

With James Wiseman and Kevon Looney already sidelined, the Warriors will have a thin depth chart and a huge hole to fill in Charlotte. Curry is averaging 29.9 points on 48.6% shooting from the field and hasn’t missed a game for Golden State this season. The Warriors will now be challenged in Charlotte without their point guard.
