Steph Curry is on a historic scoring tear in the Western Conference Finals

Now that we’ve had some space to think about the Warriors second-round matchup with the Houston Rockets, there’s no reason to tip-toe around something we all saw: Steph Curry had a terrible series shooting the ball. We’ve seen Curry at his best, and he was far from it against a Houston team that had a scheme designed to stop what he does best.

However, Curry has turned things around in dramatic fashion in the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers. Through the first three games, Curry has scored at least 35 and the Warriors have won all three: something that’s never happened before in the history of the NBA for any conference, according to Kerry Eggers.

Curry is averaging 36.3 points per game on 47 percent shooting, 42 percent from deep. He’s also added six assists and nearly seven rebounds per night as well.

A huge reason why he’s been able to perform at such a high level is the 1-5 pick and roll between him and Draymond Green. Through three games, the Trail Blazers haven’t found an answer for Curry’s ability to pull the trigger if guys go under the screen or rotate fast enough if Curry finds the open man.

Curry and the Warriors will look to close out the Blazers in a sweep on Monday night in Portland.
