Steph Curry is bummed about life without Andre Iguodala

Some changes are easier than others and for Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, the trade of Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies during free agency is taking some getting used to. Curry said over the summer that it hadn’t fully registered that Iguodala, the 2015 Finals MVP, was no longer with the the team. But starting training camp at Chase Center this week and not seeing Iguodala around the facility hammered the point home.

Appearing downcast in a post-practice presser, Curry said:

I texted Andre yesterday. Had a little heartfelt moment. Said, I miss you bro.

It’s just weird not seeing him. You get used to some faces, a certain presence on the court.

The feeling is mutual — Iguodala misses the Warriors, too.

He met up with his former teammate at Curry’s benefit golf tournament in the offseason, and confessed to the media that he often forgets he no longer is with the team.

“It was like I forget that I’m not on the same team,” Iguodala told NBC Sports.

I was texting with [Kevon Looney] and asking him what he was eating and talking about Jiu-Jitsu training. And then, it’s like, ‘Oh, I forgot. We’re not even on the same team anymore.’ I laugh about that all the time.

Curry also misses Shaun Livingston and remarked on his and Iguodala’s veteran leadership and work ethic.

“You saw those two guys and you knew what time it was,” Curry said.
