Steph Curry goes down with ankle injury in 1st quarter against Pelicans

On Tuesday night in New Orleans, Steph Curry went down with a non-contact ankle injury at the absolute worst time of the season.

With just one game left after tonight before the postseason, the Warriors were hoping to give all of their main rotation players a game of rest before the playoffs started. Curry got the start on Tuesday night knowing he’d sit out on Wednesday, and naturally, he turned his ankle.

Last year, Curry was out for the entire first round of the playoffs with a grade 2 MCL sprain, and with how deep the Western Conference is, the Warriors would not want to play another 7-game series without Curry on the floor.

After the injury, Curry stayed on the floor for a bit, but returned to the game for a minute before being sent to the locker room.

Curry was announced as out for the rest of the game and will likely receive an MRI on Wednesday morning and sit out the Warriors final game of the season in Memphis.

Below is video of the play where Curry went down. There is no word on the severity of the injury yet.
