Steph Curry congratulates U.S. Women’s Soccer on ‘world domination’

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team captivated the country with its second consecutive FIFA World Cup win on Sunday and Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was in no less awe than the masses.

He tweeted his congratulations to defender Kelley O’Hara and the entire Team USA Women’s Soccer Team, writing:

Congrats [Kelly O’Hara] and the USWNT. World domination. Thank you for inspiring EVERYbody. Real life superheroes.

The Netherlands made things hard for Team USA courtesy of a relentless, vice-grip defense. The game was scoreless at the half, but in the second period forward Megan Rapinoe scored a goal from a penalty kick and midfielder Rose Lavelle drilled a goal into the corner.

Team USA Women’s Soccer won the 2019 World Cup, 2-0.

Outspoken forward Megan Rapinoe won the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball, for the best play in the World Cup Final match and the tournament, respectively. She celebrated her iconic achievements with the words of the late Nipsey Hussle.
