Steph Curry came astonishingly close to making a fullcourt buzzer-beater in Game 6

We almost witnessed Karma in the most spectacular of ways on Thursday.

Before Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Raptors forced Steph Curry to attempt his traditional tunnel shot as a heave from fullcourt. The Raptors, being the road team, can choose what basket they want for warmups, so this was all gamesmanship at its best — especially in the final game at Oracle Arena.

Well, Curry nearly took that gamesmanship and threw it right back in the Raptors’ face.

As the first quarter was coming to an end, Curry pulled up from beyond the opposite free-throw line for a buzzer-beating attempt. He came within inches of making it. Seriously, he was so close.

Had Curry made that shot, he would have given the Warriors a lead after the first and sent Oracle Arena into an absolute frenzy.

Still, he was incredibly close. This was the kind of shot — taken BEFORE the buzzer — that we can only expect from Curry.

The Grizzlies certainly know what I’m talking about.

He could have dethroned that shot.
