The stepdad of a nine-year-old boy killed after being struck by lightning while playing football on a field has shared a photo of them together.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Blackpool but Jordan Banks died a short while after arriving at hospital on Tuesday evening, police have confirmed.
The tragic child's stepdad Daniel Begg today posted a heartbreaking snap of them holding hands on Instagram.
Mr Begg was only a few feet from Jordan sitting in his car when the tragedy occurred, according to a friend.
His post was captioned: "Hand in hand....always" alongside three heart emojis.
Jordan's family wept as they visited a memorial at the football pitch this morning.

His mum, dad and stepdad and other relatives hugged, and a family member sank to his knees and sobbed at the spot where the lad was hit before leaving a bouquet of flowers.
Jordan, a Liverpool FC fan, was praised by star James Milner for charity work earlier this year.
Officers from Lancashire Police were called shortly after 5pm on to fields near to School Road to reports a child had been injured.

Police said enquiries were still ongoing.
Chris Campbell, whose son CJ was best friends with Jordan, said: "Jordan was having a one-to-one coaching session. His stepdad was in the car at the time. It is awful.
"I feel so sorry for his family and what they are going through."
At the memorial, nine-year-old CJ left flowers and a football with a message to Jordan written on it. He was travelling home from the Lake District when he heard about the tragedy.
CJ said: "I am very sad about what happened. Jordan was my best friend and I'm going to miss him. I've known him since reception class.

"We played football against each other. He was very funny and caring and had raised money for charity. He was in my class at school."
Among a flood of tributes, Jordan was described as "a shining light and inspiration to everyone" by his football club.
In a statement on Facebook the Clifton Rangers Junior Football Club said: "It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart we announce that the tragic incident yesterday involved one of our own players.
"Jordan of our U9 Bees, tragically passed away yesterday evening doing what he loved.
"Jordan was a shining light and an inspiration to everyone that he met.
"A strong, determined and courageous young man, who will be missed by everyone.
"The world has truly lost an extraordinary young man, who had done so much good in his community."

Two GoFundMe pages have been set up in memory of the youngster, which had raised nearly £10,000 between them by Wednesday afternoon.
One praised the boy's charity work and said he had raised £3,000 earlier this year for a mental health charity in memory of his uncle.
It added: "There are no words that could possibly be written to begin to explain the pain the family of Jordan must be feeling.
"After raising £3K for Counselling in the Community just this year, in memory of his uncle, it's now time for us to come together as a community and help give back to such an incredibly, thoughtful and caring young lad who has been taken way too soon in a tragic incident."
Detective Superintendent Nick Connaughton of Lancashire Police said: "This is a truly devastating incident and our thoughts are wholeheartedly with the family and friends of the young boy, who has passed away, at this very sad and distressing time."
Road closures in place following the incident have now been lifted.
Anybody with information about the incident, or who witnessed it and has not yet spoken to police is asked to get in touch on 101, quoting log 1169 of May 11.
