Step-mum praised over 'incredible' gesture she made for children's mother

If we let stereotypes from fairy tales dictate how we saw the world, we'd believe that stepmothers are always cruel, domineering, figures.

Even in parenting forums, step-parenting often comes up as a contentious topic, with many having plenty to gripe about.

But one stepmother and mum have challenged those misconceptions by sharing a heartwarming moment on TikTok.

Kelley Lorraine is a popular star on TikTok with 910,000 followers on the popular app.

The 25-year-old American has racked up a huge following after going viral about her age gap relationship, as her husband is 41.

The couple often share prank videos alongside updates on their blended family.

But the step-mum of four went viral recently after sharing a video yesterday showing how she surprised her step-children with a trip from their mum.

She captioned the video, which has been viewed 5.3million times, 'Pulling off this surprise was one of the best parts of 2020.'

In the clip, the children can be seen running with joy towards their mother as she enters the home.

In a comment, Kelley explained that the mum lives on the east coast while they live on the west coast, so they haven't been able to see each other for a while.

The sweet video racked up more than one million likes and thousands of comments.

Many praised the duo for promoting a positive relationship between parents and stepparents.

One person commented: "The step mum is the winner here..the way she introduced the real mother got me," with one mum replying: "This is the perfect relationship."

Another added: "Divorce isn't always love divided, it can be love multiplied."

"It's good to see this. It shows that you both love those kids so much and it warms my heart," a fellow mum agreed."

Meanwhile, an iPhone repairman went viral after discovering a note hidden inside a phone.

The unusual note begged him not to fix it and there was also a $100 dollar bill to sweeten the deal.

After he shared footage of the incident on TikTok, Mani Warda was praised for his sensitive handling of the situation - although others argued that he "broke bro code."
