Step-by-step hack means you'll be able to solve a Rubik's cube in minutes

Rubik's cubes are a great way to pass the time without technology, and they can really help to train your brain to find a solution for the tricky puzzle.

And with the record recently broken by 21-year-old Max Park, who managed to solve the whole cube in just 3.13 seconds, many people will be wondering how they solve it at all, let alone in such a short amount of time.

Matt, an official ambassador for Rubik's Cube, smashed the previous benchmark set by China's Yusheng Du in 2018, leaving people gobsmacked.

His hands move in a blur, and suddenly, all the colours on each side match. But just how do you solve a Rubik's cube successfully?

Isaac, who posts on TikTok as @isaaak_, took to the video-sharing platform to give people struggling with the Rubik's cube a quick and sneaky way to solve it easily - and it's blowing people's minds.

He simply captioned the video: "Rubik's cube solve."

Over the top of the video, he wrote: "Grab your cube and repeat these moves."

Underneath the instruction, he'd drawn a cube showing which sides you need to turn when he's moving the cube - for example, if it goes upwards, the middle section and the right section need to be moved together.

The clever gamer explained how to solve the puzzle (@isaaak_/TikTok)
It should only take minutes (@isaaak_/TikTok)

The top section needs to be turned to the left, and the bottom to the right.

If you pay attention and turn your Rubik's cube in the exact same way as Isaac, you should eventually come to a completed puzzle.

But not everybody was convinced by the trick.

"I've been doing it for 20 mins and I still didn't solve it", someone complained, whilst a keen puzzle solver raged: "Been doing that for the last 6 hours...still nothing."

"It doesn't work!", another fumed.

Another TikToker said: "The true cube solver never turns two sides at the same time."

Others said that it did work, however, with someone writing: "It works!"

"That's so trippy", a game lover praised.

"You can do any combination of these moves from a solved cube and continue to repeat them in the same order until it goes back to where you started", someone reasoned, whilst the official Rubik's cube page simply wrote: "Amazing! Thanks for sharing!"
