Stenhousemuir shop offers free hot rolls to homeless and vulnerable locals

A shop in Stenhousemuir is offering free hot rolls to anyone homeless or vulnerable in the Falkirk area.

In a post on Facebook, the Day-Today store in Alloa Road said that the offer is available between 12pm and 1pm everyday.

Owners Asiyah and Jawad Javed are also printing posters to put up across the town to make people aware of the kind gesture.

The couple are well known for their kindness, after spending more than £4,000 creating parcels for the elderly and vulnerable to help protect them against Covid-19.

And people have taken to social media to react to their latest heartfelt kindness.

One person said: "Great gesture."

A second wrote: "You guys are amazing!! Thank you."

While someone else posted: "Oh wow, fantastic. You're so lovely people, god bless you."

A fourth commented: "Lovely people."

If you, or you know anyone indeed of a free hot roll, call the shop on 01324 554077.
