Stenhousemuir allege that a Stirling Albion fan threw a pie at their designated Tweeter in the early stages of their win at Forthbank.
It was a big game in League Two as the Forth Valley rivals went toe to toe.
Stirling were looking to keep the heat on runaway leaders Kelty while the Warriors were looking to claw their way up the table after a disappointing start.
But barely five minutes had passed when Stenny 's Twitter coverage was interrupted.
That was because, they say, one of their media team was hit by a pie thrown by a fan in the home end.
They tweeted: "Apologies for the lack of updates, our Twitter man has just had a pie chucked at him by the Stirling Albion young team."
The alleged assailant may have been left with egg on their face when Stenhousemuir raced into a 3-0 lead before half-time.
Dylan Bikey pulled one back for the Binos in the second half but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback as Albion dropped behind Forfar into third place.
Stirling now sit nine points from leaders Kelty but still stand a realistic chance of reaching League One via the playoffs.
