A major police incident has occurred at Stenhouse Place East with several Police Scotland officers and vehicles in attendance.
Pictures were shared on social media by an Edinburgh resident that appeared to show a swarm of cops outside of the Tesco Express located to the south of Stenhouse Cross.
There are at least four police vehicles on the scene with at least seven officers also in attendance.
The incident is believed to have taken place around 13:30 this afternoon, Friday 24 September.
One Twitter user said: “Dunno what's happening down Stenhouse Cross, police everywhere.”
With another member of the Edinburgh Live Facebook community saying: “Very heavy police presence [at Stenhouse Cross/Stenhouse Tesco area]!”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment but are yet to respond.
