Stena Line’s newest ferry Estrid is set to make its maiden voyage to Dublin Port on Monday.
The ship will set sail from Holyhead in the morning with its first Dublin departure scheduled for 2.50 pm.
The newest addition to the Stena Line, the ferry has a range of facilities on board including the spectacular Sky Bar, two Happy World children’s play areas, a relaxing Hygge reclining lounge, Stena Plus lounge, two movie lounges, bigger Truckers lounge, and Taste restaurant.
Stena Estrid is the first of three new modern ferries that will operate on the Irish Sea.
Sister ship Stena Edda is expected to commence operations from Liverpool to Belfast this spring, with a third vessel Stena Embla to be introduced on the same route in early 2021.
The name Estrid is an Old Norse eastern-Nordic version of the name Astrid which means “divinely beautiful”.
