Stella Tennant's cause of death is still a mystery after the announcement that she had died suddenly.
A darling of 90s fashion, the model died just five days after turning 50, her family confirmed.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on 22nd December 2020," they said in a statement.
"Stella was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed."
They added a request that their privacy is respected, and told that information concerning a memorial service would be made available in the future.
Police have since told that there were no suspicious circumstances, but stopped short of confirming a cause of death.
Tributes have since come pouring in from fans and Stella's celeb pals alike.
"My darling Stella," fashion designer Stella McCartney wrote, "I love you and will miss you so, so terribly.
"What sad, horrific news to end this already shocking year! My heart goes out to your stunning family who must be in such undeserving pain. I am speechless.
"Rest in peace, you inspiring woman.
"Your soul and inner beauty exceeded the external perfection, Stella. May you ride high above us all on the most perfect horse, eternally in peace."
Naomi Campbell, meanwhile, described Stella as a "class act in every way", adding: "Humble, loyal, balanced practical, a rare beauty inside and out, you were one of the goods ones never any love lost when we would see each other always picked up from where we left off."
Naomi offered her condolences to Stella's family, assuring them that she will always be remembered as an "icon."
And Victoria Beckham offered: "So saddened to hear the devastating news about Stella Tennant.
"She was an incredible talent and someone I had so much admiration and respect for."
Victoria shared a photograph on the runway, continuing: "This photo is of her opening my first show back at London Fashion Week in 2018, to celebrate my 10th anniversary.
"It was a huge privilege to have her there and meant so much to me, I just loved everything about her. My thoughts are with her family."
