In case you hadn’t noticed, the weather’s turned and the heavens have started sporadically opening. Welcome to autumn.
But fear not, because Stella McCartney has your sartorial concerns at the forefront of her mind.
The London-born designer knows a thing or two about the temperamental UK weather and has teamed up with Hunter to design, quite honestly, the most adorable Wellington bootie you have ever seen.
And, being the eco-warrior that she is, these wellington boo, which debuted at her Autumn/ Winter 2019 Paris Fashion Week show, are sustainable. The rubber used to make them is sustainably-sourced from Guatemalan forests, the idea being that no rainforests were culled to farm the trees.
Meanwhile, the sock inner of the wellie is made from a material called Yulex, which is also made of certified natural rubber.
McCartney’s Hunter collaboration joins the long list of other eco-conscious partnerships that the designer has pioneered, Stella McCartney x Adidas being the most recent earlier this summer.
The boots, which are available for men and women in black, clatter grey and olive, will be available to shop from Stella McCartney and Hunterboots.com from September 10.
