Steinway Artist Nat Yontararak plays numbers 'by request'

Acclaimed Thai pianist, composer and Steinway Artist Nat Yontararak presents an audience-curated concert, "By Request (Tam Kham Khor)", at Sala Sudasiri Sobha, Lat Phrao 41 yaek 7-2, on Saturday at 7pm.

The programme has been created from song requests submitted in advance by listeners, resulting in an evening filled with personal memories, favourite melodies and unexpected discoveries.

This is a unique musical experience as some of the requested songs are pieces Nat has performed for many years, some hold special memories and some are songs he has only recently discovered through his audience.

For more than five decades, Nat has been one of Thailand's leading pianists, educators and composers. Throughout his career, he has been known for connecting classical music with wider audiences while remaining deeply rooted in Thai musical culture.

The programme brings together beloved Thai songs, royal compositions, film and television themes, international favourites and nostalgic melodies from popular culture. Works such as Canon In D, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, River Flows In You and Amazing Grace will appear alongside selections chosen directly by audience members.

All pieces will be presented through Nat's distinctive piano arrangements, transforming familiar melodies into richly coloured musical experiences while preserving the emotional connection that first made audiences fall in love with them.

Sala Sudasiri Sobha has often been described as a concert hall that feels more like a musician's home than a formal performance venue. Designed by Nat himself and located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Bangkok's Lat Phrao district, it offers a level of intimacy rarely found in larger halls, bringing artists and audiences closer together through music.

Tickets cost 1,500, 2,500 and 3,000 baht (3,500 and 4,500 baht for VIP tickets inclusive of commemorative souvenirs).
