Stefanie Preissner admitted she’s been having nightmares about her financial future as she fears how and when any of her new shows will ever see the light of day.
The Can’t Cope Won’t Cope mastermind has some exciting TV projects in the works here and in the States.
But with no promise or solid plan of when the entertainment industry can get back up and running, the writer turned podcast host and influencer admitted she’s losing sleep over the worry.
The author, 33, who is developing a series with the BBC as one of her projects, said: “Things can live in development hell for years.
“One of my shows was stood down and the other ones are still in development.
“But if there is no vaccine I can’t see how the shows I have in development in Los Angeles are going to ever get made.
“How do you get the crew all together?
“It’s a very up close and personal thing to be on a TV set.”
And opening up about the true fear and panic that has come with the uncertainty of the future, she added: “I know a lot of people have had financial worries. I haven’t had financial worries because I am still working.
“I do worry for the future of my finances.
“Financial insecurity is something that I’m worried about and I have found my sleep is affected,” she told TV Now.
“I’m having the most bizarre dreams and nightmares that i have never had before and I just feel like there is a kind of anxiety always in the background and I can’t sometimes drown it out.”
“I hate change and I am really bad at surprises so surprise viruses that are deadly are not really great and I did really struggle with the change to all of a sudden being locked down.”
Stefanie, who has now teamed up with Irish Life Health and Psychotherapist Jason Brennan to launch a new online series, The Couch Counsellor, is encouraging fans to know they are not alone in the anxiety that has come alongside the pandemic.
“It’s a really anxious time and it’s good for people to know that they are not alone that everyone is kind of struggling a little bit.”
