Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster on OTA attendance: ‘I’m all about the team. I’m all about us.’

This offseason is incredibly important for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not just because of all the new players on the team, but also because the entire team is looking to change its identity in the eyes of the public. This means the focus is on team and on football. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster emphasized his role in this during organized team activities when he talked about the importance of his appearance.

Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette shared this quote from Smith-Schuster:

It’s crazy to think that only 22 years old, Smith-Schuster is one of the leaders on the offense. But with new guys like Donte Moncrief and Diontae Johnson on the team, and Smith-Schuster returning as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver, he is the man.

Smith-Schuster finished 2018 with 111 receptions and 1,426 receiving yards, leading the team in both categories. It is great to hear Smith-Schuster understands the importance of being present. Some like to criticize Smith-Schuster because he loves to have fun in his personal life and lives like a big kid. But he understands when it is time to focus on football.
