Steelers vs Titans injury update

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media after the team’s 18-6 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday night. The Steelers were minus several players from the start of the game and lose two more starters to injuries during the game. Tomlin offered some clarification.

Tomlin noted that running back Benny Snell Jr. and wide receiver Diontae Johnson had both missed practice time during the week and he didn’t see it appropriate to play them. This is common for Tomlin to allow practice to dictate availability. He noted both should play Thursday night in the team’s final preseason game.

Safety Sean Davis and outside linebacker Bud Dupree both left the game with injuries and as usual, Tomlin had nothing to offer in terms of an update on their status. Safe to assume neither guy will play against the Carolina Panthers on a short week.
