The Pittsburgh Steelers return home this week to take on the Seattle Seahawks. After a crushing loss to the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh is in dire need of a win. But would this game be categorized as a must-win game for the Steelers if they want to get back to the playoffs? Well, maybe.
According to Odds Shark, since 2007, 98 teams have started the season 0-2. Of those 98 teams, only 12 have made the playoffs. And during that same stretch only one of those 12 teams won the Super Bowl.
It’s hard to argue history. 0-2 is a deep hole to climb out of given the length of the NFL season and how competitive the league is. Pittsburgh has only started the season 0-2 once during this same timeframe and they missed the playoffs that season as well.
