As if the win wasn’t enough, there was more good (mostly) news from the Pittsburgh Steelers after their win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. When head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media after the game he didn’t dump piles of bad news on everyone concerning injuries. The Steelers have dealt with so many this season it is to be expected.
But according to Tomlin the only injuries of any significance were to linebacker Ola Adeniyi and wide receiver Ryan Switzer. There was no formal announcement of the Adeniyi injury but we were aware Switzer had re-injured his back during the game.
Switzer missed practice last week because of his back and this seems to be a return of that. But it opens up a bigger conversation about Switzer’s role on the Steelers and his viability beyond being a sure-handed kick and punt returner.
