This week, the Pittsburgh Steelers get back to work after the bye and hope to build on a big win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. Despite sitting at 2-4, all hope is not lost on the Steelers’ season. First up on a three-game homestand are the winless Miami Dolphins.
This game might seem like an easy win for the Steelers, but there’s no such thing this season. Here are our three big worries for this week.
Bye week hangover
By the time the Steelers take on the Dolphins, they won’t have played football for 15 days. There’s something to be said for using the bye week to get healthy and ready to play again. But there’s always a chance the Steelers come off the bye week flat and looking ahead to harder games down the road.
Injuries

The Steelers are beat up and honestly, with the way things have gone, I don’t look for it to change now. Hopefully the handful of players who were injured going into the bye week will get healthy enough to play Monday. But with the way things have gone, Pittsburgh might get some guys back just to lose others. This team really can’t absorb any more key injuries.
A win won’t matter

All of this could be for nothing. The Baltimore Ravens won on Sunday, keeping the gap between them and the Steelers at 2.5 games. It isn’t enough for the Steelers to win. They have to win them all and hope something happens with the Ravens. But there’s a real chance this game is meaningless, win or lose.
