Steelers vs Colts: 4 players to watch this week

Mandatory Credit: Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently on a two-game win streak but face their biggest challenge yet this week against the Indianapolis Colts. If the Steelers hope to beat the Colts, they are going to need their best effort yet this season. Here are the four guys we will be counting on for big games this week.

RB Jaylen Samuels

It is sounding more and more like the run game is going to be powered by Samuels and the team will be without James Conner. Samuels had a huge game last season as a starter against the New England Patriots and we are hoping he can recreate that type of production again this week.

G B.J. Finney

With Ramon Foster in the concussion protocol, Finney assumes the starting left guard spot. We have faith that Finney can play well but if Conner is out he’s going to have to be better than just good enough.

LB Vince Williams

You know the Colts are going to come out and establish the run. With that big, physical offensive line, Indianapolis is going to run right at the Steelers defense. All the talk has been about how good Devin Bush has been but the most physical guy among the linebackers is Williams.

WR Diontae Johnson

Was last week the coming-out party for Johnson? He had five receptions for 84 yards and an exciting receiving touchdown. Let’s hope he builds on this and his chemistry between him and Mason Rudolph and can continue to grow and he becomes a legitimate weapon on a weekly basis.
