The win the Pittsburgh Steelers got over the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night was exactly what this team needed. They can now go into the bye week, get healthy and be ready to attack the final 10 games of the season. Sunday’s win was not as close as the 24-17 score might indicate and several Steelers stepped up in big ways.
Who is this week’s player of the game?
The easy answer to this one is running back James Conner. He carried the offense in the first half and had he not gotten hurt could have racked up much bigger numbers than 119 total yards and two scores.
But looking to the other side of the ball, linebacker Devin Bush and cornerback Cam Sutton were both tremendous. Bush had two takeaways and a touchdown while Sutton had three passes defended and interception and recovered a key onside kick late in the game.
