Despite the records, when the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals square off there is always plenty of excitement. The season is on the line for both teams and so expect another physical showdown. Here are the Steelers three keys to victory.
Establish the run
No team is worse at stopping the run than Cincinnati. So far the Steelers run game has been anemic but if there was ever a game for James Conner and Jaylen Samuels to break out it’s this week. The Steelers’ coaches need to challenge the offensive line to play like an elite unit.
Defend C.J. Uzomah
The Steelers haven’t figured out how to defend a tight end for several seasons. They seem to be able to make good tight ends look great. There has to be an answer with all the athletes on this defense to making sure Uzomah doesn’t look like a Pro Bowler.
Play four quarters
A trend through three games has been the Steelers defense wearing down late. You can bet the Bengals will try to mimic what teams have done this season and use quick throws and tempo to keep the defense chasing its tail and wearing them out.
