It is Friday and that means it is the all-important final practice for members of the Pittsburgh Steelers to participate in order to determine their availability for this week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. With that, let’s take a look at the Thursday practice report to see what the status of the numerous injured Steelers is.
Most notable on this list is cornerback Joe Haden. He got very little practice time last week but was still able to play last week against the Seattle Seahawks. He’s hopeful he can go this week again and the Steelers need him.
Additionally, if linebacker Anthony Chickillo cannot go, we could see more of Ola Adeniyi. This may not be an upgrade but it will be nice to see what the guy who did so well in two straight preseasons could do with significant regular-season snaps.
In better news, running back James Conner was a full participant. The run game is in good hands with Jaylen Samuels but having all hands on deck in the run game can only help Mason Rudolph.
